LINDA KRUKLE - film producer, founder and CEO of KRUKFILMS
Linda Krukle began her audiovisual carrier by establishing the marketing and international relations department in the Baltic's biggest TV studio complex ARTeta (Lithuania) in 2004. After two years she founded her own film production and distribution company ART&A (Lithuania). In 2008 Linda Krukle as a main producer finished the first feature film LOSS (by Maris Martinsons). It has been the very first feature film produced by Linda Krukle and it has been the first Lithuania's feature film ever which has won prestigious awards in the A class film festival. In the 11th Shanghai International film festival LOSS was awarded with BEST DIRECTOR (Maris Martinsons) and BEST MUSIC (Andrius Mamontovas). Later this year LOSS has been the Official Lithuanian Entry for Academy Awards for the Best Foreign Language feature film. LOSS has participated in over than 20 film festivals and forums worldwide, in the same time it has been among 3 TOP Lithuanian films with biggest box offices.
By establishing the film production company KRUKFILMS (Latvia) film producer Linda Krukle initiates to produce feature films and documentaries platform, thus creating competitive film productions in the worldwide film industry.
MARIS MARTINSONS - film director/producer
Maris Martinsons is internationally awarded film director, prized with the BEST DIRECTOR award in the 11th Shanghai International film festival for the feature film LOSS (original title Nereikalingi žmonės), Although Maris Martinsons has graduated as a stage director, during the carrier he has written scripts and directed numerous TV shows. music videos and TV series, becoming as one of the first and TOP independent creators in the Baltic.
By winning the BEST DIRECTOR in the Shanghai IFF, Maris Martinsons has opened a new page in his professional carrier. After the LOSS success Maris Martinsons continues creating the initiated multicultural film productions, focusing on the original projects connecting different countries, cultures and cinema traditions.
